Head of Ukraine's Luhansk Regional Administration Valeriy Holenko and Governor of Russia's Rostov region Vasily Golubev signed an agreement on the establishment of the Euroregion Donbass in Luhansk on Friday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
"Formation of the Euroregion Donbass will help establish active cooperation between Rostov and Luhansk enterprises, will facilitate the implementation of joint production and business projects. We are able to quickly solve the issues of economic and trade activities within the Euroregion," Holenko said.
Holenko expressed hope that the establishment of the Euroregion will help strengthen the relations between Luhansk and Rostov regions.
The governor of Rostov region Vladimir Golubev said that Russian and Ukrainian businessmen support the formation of the Euroregion Donbass.
