You're reading: Lutsenko: I do not want to decide which opposition leader should be president

Former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko believes in the unity of the parliamentary opposition forces, but thinks that none of the three opposition leaders has all the necessary qualities to become the next president.

“(Arseniy) Yatseniuk, (Oleh) Tiahnybok, (Vitali) Klitschko… I’m not going to be the fourth. The unity of the three parliamentary opposition forces did take place…” he said in an interview with Channel 5 on Monday.

When asked, who of the three leaders of the opposition forces was the best candidate for the president, he said: “To date, none of these candidates is a self-sufficient leader, with a set of necessary qualities. One of them is wiser … another one is more radical, another is more determined. But none of them has all the instruments necessary to become a leader of the nation, yet. But each of them… has made a great personal progress.”

“I do not want to decide which of them is worthy,” the former interior minister summed up.
