Lviv International Airport plans to service 700,000 passengers in 2012 and up to one million passengers in 2013.

According to the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine, with reference to Airport Director General Roman Hontarev, the number of new destinations and airlines is constantly growing.

At present 14 foreign and four Ukrainian air carriers perform flights from Lviv airport. In particular, the low-cost airlines Wizz Air Ukraine and EuroLOT perform regular flights. Direct flights from the airport are made to more than 20 destinations.

Along with the servicing of flights during Euro 2012, the airport launched new flights made by foreign and domestic air carriers to Surgut, Thessaloniki, Baku, Tivat, Simferopol. In particular, UTair performed flights on the Lviv-Surgut route, Astra Airlines on the Lviv-Thessaloniki route, Air Onix on the Lviv-Tivat and Lviv-Simferopol routes, and Azerbaijan Airlines on the Lviv-Baku route.
