Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn believes that the Party of Regions will increase its presence in the new Ukrainian parliament and Vitali Klitschko's UDAR party will be the only new political force in the parliament.

“Only one new political force UDAR will get seats in the parliament. The Regions Party will increase its presence in the parliament including at the expense of MPs elected in single-seat constituencies. The opposition will reduce its presence,” Lytvyn wrote on his Facebook page during an online conference on Friday.

The speaker stressed that such alignment of forces in the next parliament “does not mean that the situation in the parliament will be comfortable.”
