"According to the summons received by Melnychenko’s lawyer Pavlo Sychov, on Dec. 7 at 14.00 Pechersky District Court will start a hearing on a complaint of Kuchma’s lawyers. I think this means that the complaint will be satisfied. This means that an instruction of First Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin on the opening of the criminal case against Leonid Danylovych Kuchma will be cancelled, and the complaint will be satisfied," Nedilko said, while commenting on reports that Pechersky Court was planning to consider an appeal from Kuchma’s defense team.
The lawyer also said that the authors of the appeal summoned former Verkhovna Rada Chairman and the leader of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Oleksandr Moroz to the hearing.
As reported, a criminal case was opened against Kuchma on March 21, 2011.
