The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NAB) must urgently receive all materials and check information that under the guise of coal from South Africa coal from the territories that are not under control of the Ukrainian government in eastern Ukraine is supplied to power plants, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
“I think that it would be right that if all the materials are urgently transferred to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Urgently, after a journalists’ investigation. The ministry must provide assistance to the investigation into purchase of this coal,” the prime minister said on 1+1 TV late on Thursday.
Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn said on 1+1 TV that coal that in the past week was unloaded at the Yuzhny port and shipped to Trypilska thermal power plant (TPP) arrived from South Africa for sure.
