Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy is continuing consultations with Russian gas giant Gazprom concerning the timing and settlement terms for natural gas supplied by the latter, the Naftogaz press service said.

“Considering the delays in settlements with OJSC Gazprom for imported
natural gas, including debts for gas received in November and December
of 2013, the parties to the contract are not breaking off consultations
on settling the timeframes and terms for settlements that should rule
out the halting or suspension of the delivery and transit of natural
gas,” the press service said.

To ensure the stable delivery of gas under the current contract with
Gazprom, Naftogaz will continue the uninterrupted settlement for natural
gas received last month, the company said.

The press service also said that, despite the difficult economic
situation in Ukraine, the state holding will pay off all its debt for
gas the Russian company supplied in January 2014.
