The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has allowed banks until September this year to sell cash national currency to foreign correspondent banks for export abroad due to holding the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

This temporary norm is introduced by NBU resolution No. 431 of December 5, 2011 registered at the Justice Ministry on December 29, 2011.

"To allow the authorized banks due to preparations and holding the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship until September 1, 2012 to sell cash national currency to foreign correspondent banks for export from Ukraine without restrictions on the amount and special permits from the NBU,” reads the document.
