You're reading: New case of cholera reported in Mariupol

A new case of cholera and one case of vibrio carrier among adults were reported in Mariupol (Donetsk region) on July 15-16, according to a statement posted on the Web site of the regional sanitary and epidemiological station on Saturday.

A total of 23 cases of cholera and 11 cases of vibrio carriers were registered in Mariupol.

As of Saturday, July 16, some 20 patients and nine vibrio carriers were discharged from hospital. Three patients and two vibrio carries are continuing to undergo medical treatment, and their condition is satisfactory.

Swimming and fishing are banned along the Sea of Azov coastline.
