U.S. President Barack Obama during his Asia-Pacific trip scheduled for late April plans also to discuss the situation in Ukraine with the authorities of the Asia-Pacific countries, President Barack Obama's national security advisor, Susan E. Rice, said on April 18.

“We will continue to have that discussion throughout each of the stops on our trip,” she said at a briefing in Washington.

“We’ve been in close communication, as you can imagine, with our allies and partners around the world, including in Asia, as it relates to what is happening in Ukraine,” she said.

“And we have been talking with them about the importance of a strong international front to uphold principles that they and we all hold dear: the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, the need for peaceful resolution of disputes,” Rice said.

Obama will visit Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Philippines.
