“According to the updated information from the Ukrainian Embassy to Italy, there were around 45 Ukrainian passengers on board of the Costa Concordia cruise ship. No Ukrainian was injured,” the press secretary of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Oleksandr Dykusarov, told Interfax-Ukraine.
He said that most of Ukrainians are staying in a hotel near the airport in Rome. Another group of Ukrainian tourists is heading to another hotel near Rome. Vice consuls of the Ukrainian Embassy have arrived to the hotels.
“Contact with our citizens is being maintained. Those who were onboard of the ship in Italy are recommended to get in contact with the Ukrainian Embassy in Rome or Ukrainian Consul in Italy Roman Horiaynov, phone +39 348 725 40 30,” Dykusarov said.
