The members of illegal armed formations last night shelled the forces of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) on the Karachun mountain near Sloviansk (Donetsk region), one Ukrainian soldier was killed.
Three female snipers from the side of the enemy yielded themselves prisoners.
“At 11.20 p.m.-1.00 a.m. the ATO positions on the Karachun mountain had undergone a mortar attack. Afterwards the checkpoint was assailed. During fighting one tank and three infantry combat vehicles of militants were put out of action. Three female snipers yielded themselves prisoners. One soldier died and four were wounded. Two infantry combat vehicles were damaged,” the ATO press center reported on its page on Facebook.
