Twenty-one truce violations by militants have been observed in Donbas in the past 24 hours; one Ukrainian serviceman was killed and a number of others were injured, military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said.

“The enemy shelled our positions near the village of Bolotene in the Luhansk region using 82mm mortars. The enemy was found, the group suffered casualties and retreated after a 30-minute fight,” he said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Nov. 11.

In the words of Lysenko, armed units of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) repeatedly opened fire near Zaitseve and Mayorsk in the Donetsk sector.

The enemy was conducting random small arms fire all day long near Donetsk airport and Maryinka, he said.

One armed provocation was observed near Starohnativka in the Mariupol area, and a shootout occurred near Hranitne, Lysenko said.

“We lost one soldier and another five suffered injuries over the past day,” he said.

The Presidential Administration spokesman added that the serviceman was killed in a shootout near Hranitne and that two of the injured servicemen were hurt in the blast of an unknown explosive device in Krasnohorivka.
