MINSK - The humanitarian subgroup held intense discussions of the prisoners issue in Minsk on May 18, but no progress has been achieved, said Martin Sajdik, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group on the implementation of the peace plan in the East of Ukraine.

“The humanitarian subgroup held intense discussions on the release of illegal imprisoned persons. The parties have different views on this issue,” he told reporters in Minsk on May 18 after another round of the Donbas talks.

“Regrettably, the parties reached no progress,” he said.
