You're reading: OSCE monitors in Ukraine seeking meeting with arrested Russian reporters

Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) monitors posted in Ukraine are trying to meet with two Russian journalists arrested in the east of the country on Sunday, the head of the monitoring mission said on Thursday.

The mission, which has officially applied for such a meeting, wants
to find out the circumstances of the arrest near Kramatorsk in Donetsk
region of Marat Saichenko and Oleg Sidyakin, reporters for Russian
website LifeNews, Ertugrul Apakan told a briefing in Kyiv.

The detainees were taken to Kyiv.
