You're reading: OSCE: No alternative to Minsk process, yet political will needed to promote it

Political will is needed to resolve the Ukraine conflict, said Martin Sajdik, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group.

The negotiations have entered into an important stage, and now, there is a need for a political will, the BelTA state news agency has quoted Sajdik as saying.

At the same time, the OSCE envoy said that the Minsk process had been working. All of the sides see it as the only way to resolve the conflict, he said.

There is no worthy alternative to the Minsk platform, he added.

Sajdik also said that the OSCE could not force the sides to resolve the conflict.
