You're reading: Over 180 criminal cases started into seizures of administrative buildings in eastern Ukraine

Criminal cases were opened and investigations started into the recent seizures of administrative buildings in the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions, Ukraine's acting prosecutor general Oleh Makhnitsky said. "Investigators are to establish those guilty of crimes, and who from the government and law enforcement officials assisted the separatists," the Prosecutor General's Office quoted Makhnitsky as saying on April 14.

Overall, 183 criminal cases have been opened and 13 into crimes
against Ukraine’s territorial integrity, including 30 initiated by
prosecutor offices.

Those who knowingly supported these actions will not escape
punishment, “in this connection I urge the heads of all law enforcement
agencies to make personnel reshuffles,” he said.
