You're reading: Parliament adopts four laws replacing repealed laws

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted in one package without discussion four laws replacing the repealed January 16 laws.

A total of 257 lawmakers out of the 412 registered in the session hall voted for such a decision on Tuesday.

MPs re-voted for the law introducing amendments to the Tax Code
regarding the exemption of natural gas imports to Ukraine from VAT,
which was suspended in late 2013, the law introducing amendments to the
law of Ukraine on free legal assistance regarding the postponement of
the entry into force of the provisions of clause 6, section VI “Final
and Transitional Provisions,” the law amending the Criminal Code in
terms of the responsibility for the denial or justification of crimes
committed by the Nazis and their henchmen, and the law introducing
penalties for the desecration of graves of World War II participants.
