Mykola Azarov has every chance of again becoming Ukraine's prime minister, the leader of the Party of Regions faction in parliament, Oleksandr Yefremov, has said.

“I believe that Mykola Yanovych [Azarov] has a chance,” he said at a briefing on Tuesday.

He noted that everything would depend on which candidacy is submitted
by the president to parliament for approval for the post of prime
minister.

In addition, a final decision on this issue is taken by the head of state.

As reported, on December 3, Azarov submitted his resignation to the
head of state due to his election as an MP. Ukrainian President Viktor
Yanukovych accepted the resignation of the prime minister and the entire
composition of the Cabinet of Ministers. A respective decree, No.
673/2012, was signed on December 3, according to his official Web site.
The decree comes into force on the day of its publication. Under the
same decree, the president instructed the government to continue
fulfilling its duties until a new government is formed.
