The Party of Regions, the united opposition, the UDAR Party and the Communist Party may win over 5% of votes in the Ukrainian parliamentary election, the Research Branding Group reports.

The Party of Regions would have gained 20.2% of votes, the united
opposition 18.6%, UDAR 9.9% and the Communist Party 8.3% if the election
were held next Sunday, Research Branding Group head Yevhen Kopatko told
a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

In his words, the Ukraine Forward Party of Natalia Korolevskaya (4%)
and the Freedom all-Ukraine union (3.8%) would fail to pass the 5%
threshold.

Respondents planning to cast their votes said they would support the
Party of Regions (25.5%), the united opposition (24.6%), UDAR (12.5%),
the Communist Party (10.4%), Ukraine-Forward! (4.9%) and the Svoboda
Party (4.6%).

In the opinion of 42% of respondents, the Party of Regions has the
biggest chance to win the election. Twenty-four percent believe in the
victory of the united opposition, 11% in the victory of UDAR, 8% in the
victory of the Communist Party, 6% in the victory of Ukraine-Forward!,
and 5% in the victory of Freedom.

Thirty-six percent could not say which party would be victorious.

Forty-six percent of the respondents are determined to take part in
the elections, 28% are inclined to do that, 13% have not made up their
mind, 11% won’t vote for sure, and 5% are unlikely to vote.

The poll was held in 24 regions of Ukraine and the Crimea on August 3-13.
