Kyiv policemen have arrested the man that shot at the car of First Deputy Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Inna Sovsun, Public Relations Department of Kyiv's office of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported.
“The man that started shooting was detained. He’s being identified now. We’re investigating all the circumstances of what happened,” the statement quoted Head of Kyiv’s office of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Oleksandr Tereschuk as saying.
Earlier on Aug. 25, Sovsun said that her service car had been shot at near the ministry’s building.
“Ten minutes ago, unidentified persons shot at my service car from the road. The car was parked near the ministry. At the time, I was in my office, the driver was in the vehicle. One bullet flew right over his head. Others got stuck in the back doors,” she wrote on Facebook on Aug. 25 night.
