Kyiv police have arrested a 27-year-old city resident that robbed a sports reporter of The Independent, a UK newspaper.
Interfax-Ukraine learned from the police office that the detained man lives in Kyiv’s Obolon district and has previous convictions.
The police found the robber in the course of another investigation into the robbery of an Irish citizen. The law enforcers are also checking whether the detained man was involved in other crimes in addition to these two robberies. He has been detained and is in a pretrial detention facility.
As reported, a reporter of The Independent publication was robbed in Lesia Ukrainka Street in Kyiv on June 8. The robber stole Hr 1,200 from the reporter.
