The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) has instructed the Interior Ministry of Ukraine to hold a thorough check into public statements of ex-model Vlada Prokayeva, according to the press service of the PGO.

Recently the media cited Prokayeva as saying that she gave a bribe of
$50,000 to Ukrainian Culture Minister Mykhailo Kulyniak for her
appointment as deputy director general of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra National
Historical and Cultural Reserve.

Prokayeva was dismissed from the post on July 31 after having worked
at it for less than a month. According to the media reports, the
ex-model had a conflict with the director of the reserve, Viktoria
Lisnycha.

“I can say for sure that the director general received from me a
bribe of $50,000 for my position. Personally for the minister!”
Prokayeva said.

In response to the ex-model’s statement, Lisnycha promised to sue her.

“I will sue you! I have a recording where Mykhailo Andriyovych
[Kulyniak] asked Vlada Volodymyrivna [Prokayeva] whether she paid money
for the position. And she said no. Vlada Volodymyrivna, you’re lying!”
she said.

In turn, the culture minister also denied he had taken a bribe.

“I did not receive any money from Viktoria Mykolaivna [Lisnycha] or Vlada Prokayeva,” he said.
