Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has praised the intention of Poland to become more actively involved in settling the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
During Yatsenyuk’s visit to Warsaw, Polish President Andrzej Duda confirmed his strong support for Ukraine, its sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, the media liaison office of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers has reported.
“He said that the conflict in Ukraine requires a long-term settlement, which will be possible thanks to involving states neighboring with Ukraine in the talks, [the states] which understand and firmly back Ukraine,” reads the report.
Yatsenyuk went on to express his gratitude to Poland for its help in the implementation of the European choice of Ukraine and the introduction of reforms in the country.
