WARSAW, Dec. 13 – The Odessa-Brody-Gdansk gas pipeline project will be the main topic of the discussion between President Leonid Kuchma and his Polish counterpart Aleksander Kwasniewski during the latter’s planned visit to Ukraine on December 17 and 18, PAP news agency said on Tuesday.

“We want the Ukrainian side to present its expectations regarding those plans,” Poland’s Alfred Fiderkiewicz of the Presidential International Affairs Office said on Tuesday, adding that the two presidents will visit the construction site of the pipeline terminal.

Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Wladyslaw Bartoszewski announced earlier in December that as far as the construction of the new pipeline is concerned, Poland will be guided by economic calculations and not political reasons, the report said.
