Most of Kyiv's residents are dissatisfied with the situation in the capital and the activities of Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov, according to a poll conducted by Kyiv International Sociology Institute.

As the poll said, 61% of Kyiv residents said that affairs in Kyiv “are moving in the wrong direction,” while 34% of those polled said they were completely sure of this.

Moreover, 56% of people said they were dissatisfied with the work of the head of Kyiv City State Administration, and 32% of respondents said they were completely dissatisfied.

Besides, 69% of Kyiv residents are unhappy that the elections for Kyiv mayor and deputies of Kyiv Council have not been scheduled yet. According to 63% of those polled, these elections should have taken place at the beginning of summer. Only 13% of those polled said that elections in Kyiv should be held simultaneously with the local elections in 2015.

Some 60% of respondents said they were sure there is a need for fresh elections to the district councils of Kyiv.

Opinions were divided on the fairness of holding the election of the city mayor in Kyiv separately from the elections of the deputies to Kyiv council: 40% of respondents said it was unfair to hold the mayoral elections without electing deputies of Kyiv council, while 38% said the opposite.

The poll was held from May 17 to June 5, 2013. A total of 1,011 Kyiv residents were polled. The poll’s margin of error is 3.2%.
