Ukrainians do not support the actions of Viktor Yuschenko as president and Yulia Tymoshenko as prime minister and expect the country’s economic situation to worsen, according to a public opinion poll conducted by the FOM Ukraine Company September 26 through October 4, 2009.
FOM Ukraine Director General Oleksandr Bukhalov announced the
results of the study at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on
Monday.
A total of 65.8% of those polled slammed the activities of Tymoshenko as prime minister, while 26.9% welcomed them.
A total of 88.5% of respondents criticized the work of Yuschenko as president, while 6.7% supported his actions.
Some 46.2% of Ukrainians said that the economic situation in the
country would worsen within the next few months, 8% said the situation
would improve, and 35% said that the economic situation in Ukraine
would remain unchanged.
