You're reading: Popov: Ipodrom subway station in Kyiv to be opened in second half of October

The Ipodrom subway station in Kyiv will be launched in the second half of October, Head of Kyiv City Administration Oleksandr Popov has said.

“This station will be commissioned in late October… Decoration work
for one or two months is still to be done, and technologically the
station is ready,” Popov said visiting the construction site of the
Ipodrom subway station on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Kyivmetrobud Director General Volodymyr Petrenko said that the
Ipodrom station is 90% ready. He said that all decoration work is to be
finished by October 15, 2012 and it will take a week to bring the
station to order.

As reported, the cost of the construction of the two new stations of
the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska line of Kyiv subway is around Hr 1.7
billion.

The Teremki station will be launched by the next Day of Kyiv – at the end of May 2013.
