Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has expressed concern over the coup attempt taking place in Turkey and ordered law-enforcers to step up security at airports and on Ukraine's southern border.

“I instructed the Foreign Ministry and our embassy in Turkey to take care of Ukrainian citizens on the Turkish territory. I also ordered security forces to tighten control at airports and on the southern border of Ukraine,” the president said on his Facebook page on Saturday.
