Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Ukrainian border guards had saved him during one of his visits to the ATO zone.
“I could observe the heroism of border guards a lot of times. Today we can already talk about this: border guards saved my life during my stay in the legendary point of Izvaryne… when an armed provocation was being prepared we came under fire – and the bold actions of border guards allowed to avoid the worst,” Poroshenko said at the events dedicated to the Day of Border Guard of Ukraine.
