You're reading: Poroshenko signs law obliging Migration Service to issue refugee certificates within 15 days after decision to grant refugee status

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine on refugees and persons in need of additional or temporary protection, the press service of the head of state said on March 1.

According to the document, a refugee certificate will be issued within 15 working days starting from the date the decision to grant a refugee status in Ukraine to a foreigner or a stateless person was taken.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the relevant bill on Feb. 4.
