Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is sure that MPs will support the decentralization–related amendments to the Constitution at an extraordinary meeting of the parliament.

“I’m sure we have all the necessary votes. I’m very grateful to the political forces of the Verkhovna Rada for their huge support of decentralization reforms,” Poroshenko told journalists in Kyiv on Aug. 20.

He said that the extraordinary meeting of the parliament would be held either on Aug. 27 or 31.
