Ukraine plans to continue reforms, expecting that international financial organizations and international partners, such as the United States and the European Union, will increase their financing, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

“The financial provision of reforms will be provided, including
thanks to the expansion of the IMF programs… new positions on the
increase of macro-financial aid from the EU and new financial guarantees
of the United States,” he said in an interview with leading TV channels
of Ukraine on Friday, Aug. 1.

Poroshenko said that the IMF inside has facts of opposing Ukraine’s
crediting, including by Russia, although he expressed confidence that
cooperation with the fund will be continued.

The head of state added that he started work on the creation of a new
fund on the restoration of infrastructure in Donbas and expects that
international partners of Ukraine, such as the United States, Britain
and Japan, will send millions and dozens of millions to the fund.

As reported, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund
(IMF) has approved a two-year Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) worth $17.01
billion for Ukraine: $7.4 billion in 2014, $7.1 billion in 2015 and $1.1
billion in 2016.
