President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that U.S. radars will help Ukraine react to and prevent militants' provocations.

“I emphasize again that the withdrawal of heavy weapons pushes to the
forefront the problem of the timely and effective prevention of
provocations. To do this, we need modern, high-tech missile weapons of a
defensive nature,” he said in Lviv.

He added that the radars are modern devices, counter-batteries designed to identify enemy artillery.

According to Poroshenko, on November 23 Ukrainian military personnel
will start training on how to use the radars during exercises at the
Yavoriv training ground with the participation of U.S. and Canadian
military units.

Poroshenko added that the training will take three weeks to complete.
