The Health Ministry of Ukraine has again set up a commission made up of leading experts, which will soon conduct a medical examination of Ukraine's former Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, who is held in Kachanivska penal colony No 54 in Kharkiv.

The press service of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine reported on Wednesday that Tymoshenko was receiving all necessary medications prescribed to her by the Health Ministry’s commission. The former prime minister is under constant surveillance by medical attendants of the colony, her health condition is satisfactory, the press service said.

In addition, the Prison Service once again stressed that in order to ensure personal safety and constant supervision over inmates, all prison cells are equipped with video cameras and night lighting.

"The power of a night lamp in the cell, where Tymoshenko and another inmate are held, is only 5 W, its light is directed at the floor, so it can in no way disturb anybody’s sleep," the press service said.
