The Kyiv Court of Appeals has changed the measure of restraint for four AutoMaidan activists - Bohdan Sutik, Mykyta Horsky, Ihor Kobzar and Dmytro Zhytniy - from detention to house arrest, the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on Feb. 13.

In all cases, the prosecutor’s office supported the defense team’s position and demanded that the measure of restraint be softened.

In addition, the Shevchenkivsky District Court in Kyiv changed the measure of restraint for one more AutoMaidan activist Andriy Shmyndiuk, under a petition lodged by the prosecutor’s office, from detention to house arrest.

The prosecutor’s office said that 16 AutoMaidan activists who were notified of suspicion of committing riots (Part 1, Article 294 of the Criminal Code) had already had the measure of restraint changed to a softer one.
