The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has received an appeal from Ukrainian lawmakers concerning the unlawfulness of placement of Ukraine's former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko to Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv.

The address came from Serhiy Vlasenko from the BYT-Batkivschyna faction and two other lawmakers, the spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, Yuriy Boychenko, said on Thursday, Jan.5.

"The appeal from lawmakers was examined and forwarded to the prosecutor’s office in Kyiv, which oversees the compliance with the law in the detention center," he said.

Boychenko added that the appeal would be processed within ten days.
