You're reading: Public transport fares in Kyiv to rise starting from Feb. 7

The new fares for passenger transportation in public transport will take effect starting from Feb. 7, 2015, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration reported.

The cost of one trip by bus, tram, trolley bus or funicular railway will be Hr 3. The cost of a single trip in the city train will be Hr 4. One trip in subway will cost Hr 4, the administration said in a statement issued on Feb. 6.

The resolution of Kyiv City State Administration establishing the fares for transportation of passengers and the cost of tickets in municipal public transport was registered in the Main Department of Justice in Kyiv and published in the Khreschatyk newspaper.

At the same time, if a person uses electronic plastic cards for several trips, which can be topped up, the subway fare will depend on the number of trips.

In case of buying from one to nine trips, one trip will cost Hr 4,

from ten to 19 trips – Hr 3.90,

from 20 to 29 trips – Hr 3.80,

from 30 to 39 trips – Hr 3.70,

from 40 to 49 trips – Hr 3.60,

50 trips – Hr 3.50.

A plastic card itself will cost Hr 12.
