Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is satisfied with the state of Ukrainian-Russian relations.
He has said this meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov in his residence in Novo-Ogarevo.
In particular, Putin has highly appraised prompt cooperation between the two nations.
"This is a good sign, at least external, that the quality of our relations has radically changed," Putin noted.
Positive trends have emerged not only in defense and security cooperation, stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea and in the gas sector, but also in other areas, according to Putin.
"The situation is being aligned," the Russian prime minister emphasized.
Among the other items to be discussed is development of the city of Sevastopol, the press-service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
As Ukrainian News reported, being on the visit to Moscow Azarov will discuss with Putin current issues of bilateral economic ties including cooperation in the energy industry.
