BELBEK AIRPORT, Sevastopol - Russian President Vladimir Putin said he hopes common sense in Kyiv will prevail, as Moscow is not going to wind down the bilateral relations.

“I hope that this [the provocations] will not be the final choice of our partners, and common sense will prevail,” the president said at a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council on August 19.

“We are not going to wind down our relations, despite the reluctance of the current authorities in Kyiv to have proper diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level, we will still be creating opportunities for developing and maintaining contacts,” Putin said.
