Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has amended legislation on the provision of execution of criminal sentences and realization of rights of convicts. The parliament humanized the judicial and sentence execution system in Ukraine approaching it to European and international standards.

A total of 238 lawmakers supported bill No. 2490a on Wednesday.

The document regulates the transfer of convicts from one correction center to another that has not been regulated at all. The bill regulates release on parole, mitigation of sentences.

The document allows convicts to use Internet, pensions. It expands their rights to spend money earned in the correction centers for food, clothes, shoes, underwear and essentials.
