You're reading: Renaissance Life insurer sees 44 percent rise in payments in 2015

Kyiv-based private joint-stock company Renaissance Life insurance company saw a rise of 44 percent in insurance payments in claims in H1 2015 year-over-year, to Hr 4.926 million, the company has reported on its website.

The company said that over half of the payments were paid out under endowment insurance agreements. The insurer paid out Hr 2.717 million under longevity risk policies, including Hr 626,000 of additional investment income.

The following risks were most prevalent in the structure of payments: no-fault death, no-fault disability, bodily injury in an accident and protection of insurance premiums.

The insurance company said that the largest payment totaled Hr 209,539 under a no-fault disability risk policy to a client from Lviv.

Renaissance Life was founded in December 2005. The insurance license was obtained in February 2006.

The company provides voluntary life insurance services.
