The Russian convoy carrying humanitarian aid will be blocked unless it is inspected by Ukrainian border guards and customs officers, said Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council.

“The movement of the convoy will be blocked by whatever forces are available,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The Russian convoy must be checked by border guards and customs
officers, in the presence of representatives of the International
Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), he said.

“We hope that Russia will meet these requirements and will not violate Ukrainian and international laws,” Lysenko said.
