Russia's refusal to participate in the program of Ukraine's restructuring "Russian" eurobonds worth $3 billion will not affect the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ukrainian Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko has told reporters in Kyiv.

“If we fulfill our obligations [under the memorandum with the IMF] and the program is whole, I think this will have no effect. I think no one will give the possibility to veto our program because of this,” Jaresko said.

According to her, the IMF will be able to issue financial assistance to Ukraine even if there are proceedings concerning the redemption of “Russian” eurobonds.

“Today their policy [of the IMF] won’t allow this, but everybody read they are discussing changes to their policy,” the minister added.
