ODESA - The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is interfering with the repairs of Odesa-Reni road of international importance, Chairman of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili said at a meeting of the Economic Growth Council of Odesa Oblast.

“Ukraine’s central government festively announced that we’ll have income from the customs, and 50 percent of additional income will be used to rebuild the Odesa-Reni road. Now they’ll tell us there’s no money for the road, and there’s no money because it was stolen… By announcing that those 50 percent would stay, the Cabinet also took away the energy customs and added plan to ensure that nothing happens,” Saakashvili said.

When discussing the issue, it was discovered out that Odesa customs office is to receive Hr 1.4 billion in August, which is Hr 100 million more than in July. In addition, energy customs in no longer under the supervision of Odesa customs office, from which it used to receive one fourth of its income.
