DONETSk, Rostov region - Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko said in the Donetsk City Court on March 3 that she will go on a dry hunger strike from March 4, an Interfax correspondent has reported from the courtroom.
“If they don’t let me make my last statement today, I will begin a dry hunger strike tomorrow,” Savchenko said.
Earlier on March 3, the court postponed the trial until March 9, when the defendant is expected to make her last statement and the date when the sentence will be read is expected to be announced.
