The defense lawyers for Ukrainian pilot and member of parliament Nadia Savchenko are not commenting on the issue of whether she asked to be pardoned.
“I can’t comment on that. Let Nadia say this herself,” lawyer Mark Feygin told Interfax on May 25.
Russian presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov said earlier on Wednesday the relatives of the killed journalists had asked for Savchenko to be pardoned.
