You're reading: Second Hyundai train to start running on Kyiv-Kharkiv route from May 24

Ukrainian High-Speed Railway Company is returning another high-speed train made by Hyundai Rotem to the Kyiv-Kharkiv route, the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia has reported.

The press service said that train pair No. 164/161 Kyiv-Kharkiv would start departing from Kyiv from May 24 and from Kharkiv on May 25.

The train will depart at 1808 from Kyiv and arrive in Kharkiv at 2241. An Intercity+ train will depart from Kharkiv at 0656 and arrive in Kyiv at 1137.

As reported, on April 29, 2014, after the modernization train pair No. 156/155 Kyiv-Kharkiv-Kyiv was launched. Running of the high-speed train pair No. 169/170 Darnytsia-Kyiv-Lviv was resumed on May 6. The third train made by Hyundai Rotem (train pair No. 166/165) Kyiv-Dnipropetrovsk was returned to the route on May 15.

In addition, Intercity+ train No. 741/742, produced by South Korean company Hyundai Rotem, will run between Kyiv and Truskavets starting from June 1, 2014.
