The actual and accounting amount of gas in the underground gas storage facilities of Naftogaz Ukrainy differs by 13 billion cubic meters, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk has said from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

“In fact, there is 7.2 billion cubic meters of gas in Naftogaz’s
storage facilities and there should be more than 20 billion cubic
meters. I did not steal the gas,” he said.

As reported, Naftogaz Ukrainy unites oil and gas production assets in
Ukraine, and is the country’s gas transit, underground gas storage, and
oil pipeline transportation monopoly.
