Armored vehicles flying Russian flags in Sloviansk and Kramatorsk (Donetsk region) were driven by disguised Ukrainian servicemen who thus tried to penetrate units controlled by armed separatists, acting Batkivschyna faction leader Serhiy Sobolev has said.

“There was an open statement… These were our armed units that used a
guerilla method of penetrating directly into the parts that are today
controlled by military units of the Russian Federation and those
separatists they are financing,” he said at a briefing on Wednesday.

“I think that this event will be known very soon, literally within
the next one to three hours, and you will realize that this, in fact,
was a breakthrough that was thus ensured by our units,” he added.

Sobolev said that this report was official and that it had been provided by the acting defense minister.
